I got a gift!!! Thank you! Thank you!

That certainly brightened my day because someone stuck a jalapeno in my salad! You have to understand...I think Doritos are spicy.

My shirt has a leprachaun on it. I'm not Irish (despite the very Irish first name) and I am a businesswoman, and yet here I sit with a leprachaun on! I should be ashamed of myself! :)

Have a happy St. Patty's Day, Mr. Jeff!

Hi Jeff,

Just looked at your website. The "about me" section was pretty funny and I mean that in a good way. I can definitely relate to what you're saying there about getting older and the cold, etc. I was finally getting around to putting my new wall calendar up yesterday for 2010 and I always write all the birthdays in first, etc. As I was doing that I began to realize how old all of us are getting (family and friends). I was in shock because it doesn't seem possible to be that old already when in many ways I still feel like I did in my 20's. This left me to wondering where in the world all that time went and so quickly.

As far as the cold I spent 5 winters in Alaska and was so glad to get out of there. There's really just so much cold a body can take and I was even much, much younger then than I am today. I'm living in the desert now but as you probably know the desert has temperature extremes although I can say no snow (or very little) thank goodness. I vowed I saw my last flake when I left AK unless its on a mountaintop way above me. That would be ok.

I see you've written lots of poetry and I agree it does seem to be a dying art form - for that matter so is reading of any kind. My nieces and nephews seldom if ever pick up a book to read just for pleasure which is a sad thing to see. Young people are far more interested in tv, internet, movies, texting, games, etc. Such a shame really. I hope you will keep writing and will finish the novel you have in the works. I think most writers write because they love telling good stories. We all know we'll never get rich doing this but its very satisfying to finish a manuscript and see it published and hopefully to please a few readers who will pick it up and enjoy.

Best Wishes,
Sunni
