Something About Me and My Book:: Jim Peterson brings a unique expertise to translating environmental economics into a simple set of principles to make your life, country and the world we live in better for you.

His broad perspective developed through his life experiences; growing up in East Los Angeles, college in California, service to his country in Vietnam as a USMC infantry officer, 40 years as a successful independent real estate development consultant in Hawaii, 15 years of active participation in the direct selling industry and a lifestyle appreciating freedom, joy and growth.

His diverse life, economic and athletic experiences led to 8 years of board representation and the presidency of one of the most prestigious family oriented athletic clubs in the world. Through his solitary training sessions for marathon races and rigorous team training sessions for the world's most respected long distance open ocean canoe race, he honed the important skills of patience, team work and individuality.

The freedom associated with selling through networking allowed him to pursue other interests. He spent 5 years living in the only rainforest in the United States. There he had the opportunity to study first hand climate change and its effects on life giving photosynthesis. He studied the potential effects of genetic engineering, industrial farming, fossil fuels and their by-products on our personal health. He came to understand the profound effect individuals and small businesses will have on the earth's environmental health.

He became convinced that there is a relationship between our personal health, genetic engineering, industrial farming, fossil fuels, renewable energy, business and our personal belief system. He set out to connect the dots to these topics. His book “Make The Earth A Better Place” connected the dots and presents a fascinating approach to consensus that will allow you to take control of elements in your life that might appear to be beyond your control.

He is able to present specific simple effective steps, including extensive references, for each of us to use to make the earth a better place, one person / one place at a time.
