- Something About Me and My Book:
- I grew up in Topeka, Kansas, where I graduated from Washburn University in 1956. I am a retired newspaper editor and a member of Facebook, LinkedIn, and the WAE Network (Writers, Agents and Editors). My books include "Once Upon a War-The Diary of a Waiting Wife," "Little Hal," a children's story about the rare, endangered pygmy hippopotamus, and "KANTU," a story about the vulnerable African savanna elephant. I have been married almost 60 years to a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and Vietnam War veteran. We have five children, 20 grandchildren, one of whom is deceased, and two great-grandchildren.
