Something About Me and My Book:
Hi, I am an author and mom to one very energetic horse and two slightly demonic, yet cute, cats. My first book Midnight Reflections is now up at Amazon.com. It is a mystery thriller involving vampires, werewolves, warlocks and a serial killer. Basically, the story starts with an young woman struggling to deal with being turned into a vampires. Shortly after she begins adapting to her new unlife, a friend of hers is killed and she becomes involved in the investigation into finding the killer. In a world where vampires and werewolves are common and accepted, sometimes it is hard to find the actual monsters. The sequel to Midnight Reflections, Dead Awakening, is in production.

First part of Dead Awakening

Here is the first part of Chapter 1 of Dead Awakening, the 2nd in the Preternatural Investigation Agency series.

Two great review of my book

Hi, I recently got two great reviews of my book, Midnight Reflections. Bitten By Books gave me 5 out of 5 tombstones and said "Katrina Michaels’ novel Midnight Reflections is a wonderfully written murder mystery. The characters are strong and unique. The suspense entrances the reader’s attention. Each chapter offers new twists and surprises. I enjoyed the building suspense and drawn theories throughout. The author does not disappoint the reader!"

Have you tried using excerpts of your books as articles, or blog posts or offering to be a guest blogger on other blogs and using excerpts from your book? Also, writing articles (or using excerpts) about vampires to send to your local newspapers would be very timely.

Hi Katrina,
Yes marketing isn't really my cup of tea. I'd much rather be writing but unfortunately marketing is part of the process. I'm not very good at it but you have to persevere you know. I just sent you a friend invite.

Katrina, Congratulations on "Midnight Reflections." It sounds like a book I would enjoy reading. I visited the website you listed but could find no mention of your book on the site. If Stonegarden is your publisher, they should list your book on their site. You can sign up for a free website for your book at Webs.com.
