I am here on your site to spy on you. I work at an American international school outside of the U.S. A few years ago the international schools in our area formed a program to encourage our students to read.

The center of our program is the Sakura Medal Award reading program where international students read English language books from around the world and then vote on them. The winning authors in several reading levels are awarded with certificates and Sakura medals.

The books the kids review are all fiction; some books are in translation. They range in reading level from kindergarten picture books to adult novels. Books by new authors are preferred. This is why I am here. I am trying to find books by new authors that we might be able to put up for the award.
