- Kristen Cathey was raised in Rapid City, South Dakota, where she still lives with her husband, son, and two dogs. Growing up near the Black Hills, she spent her time hiking, camping and read herself to sleep with fictional books, lost in her own imagination.
Bittersweet is an action fiction novel based on Casey and her son who run off into the woods once their world falls apart from an unknown enemy. They must deal with many unfortunate events that shakes their spirit and morale for a small hope to survive.
