Something About Me and My Book:: My life as an author and publisher began in 2005 with the publication of, DILLO - A Baby Armadillo's Adventure on Sanibel Island, a 2009 Eric Hoffer Award winner, and my first wildlife storybook for children. Snowy Pea and the Ghost Crab, was released in January, 2011. Both books, illustrated by Randon T. Eddy, feature wildlife on Sanibel Island, Florida, where I am grateful to be living. My publishing life has advanced through my membership in FPA and IBPA. In 2010 I was awarded an IBPA, Pub-U Scholarship through our IBPA affiliate FPA. I was subsequently elected to the Board of Directors of the Florida Publishers Association. I now manage the exhibitor's booths for FPA at both the FAME Annual Conference and the Florida Library Association's Annual Conference. With advanced degrees in Physical Education (Ohio University) and Counseling Psychology (Slippery Rock University) I am still on the uphill learning curve in the publishing and marketing business. My passion is writing stories and teaching children about wildlife.
