“No Hand To Hold” ~ An engaging tale of a young boy’s struggle to survive.
~~~~~~
“Stonie” is barely fifteen years old but blessed with an unwavering faith in God. His father has run off and left him with no family. Faced with a life on his own…he boldly walks out into his cold new world on a seemingly…“Infinite Journey”.
The author deftly blends mysterious strains of the spiritual and just as often…the supernatural throughout this story. A constant mix of profound feelings…pain, happiness, romance, and more than just a touch of suspense. All the while, this young lad unwittingly demonstrates unexplainable knowledge and powers.
Some say Stonie is flirtatious and a romantic...because - he is! As an old tune once said; “I fall in love too easily”. Stonie’s young loves sometime seem to come and go as quickly as the sun rises and sets. Loneliness and the feeling of not being loved slowly gives way to new horizons. Putting his personal issues aside, while spanning the continent, he becomes aware of the constant opportunities to share his love and kindness. Stonie becomes more sensitive and benevolent day by the day…in many a way. His tender, selfless approach and a willingness to care for each new “friend in need” becomes his calling card…his mission! All the while…the author weaves a wide spectrum of music throughout these pages.
His daily life is often very sad. Yet almost always tender and moving as he clears the many hurdles that have been set before him. All the while…a silent voice…a constant whisper; “Stonie, you are on a mission.”
With a unique cast of characters his life becomes a wonderful story of humanity at its very best!
