I am a Registered Nurse for 35 years. In 2010 it was revealed to me by a cousin that I had an older brother. My mother was basically forced to give my brother up for adoption when he was 6 months old. He was adopted by good friends of my cousin's parents. In 2008 my older brother leaned that he and my cousin were not good friends but they were in fact cousins after she told him her parents had died. In 2008 my cousin called my mother to inform her that he knew of the relationship and wanted to meet her. My mother rejected the idea saying it was a long time ago and that she did not want her other children to know about him. My cousin persisted 2 more times to persuade my mother to at least give him a call. Again my morther refused. In 2010 and after learning that my brother had Pulmonary Fibrosis and my mother's repeated rejections to make contact that my cousin decided to share the information with me.
