Something About Me and My Book:
Marc Beaudin is the author of The Moon Cracks Open: A Field Guide to the Birds and Other Poems, the novel A Handful of Dust and three chapbooks of poetry, as well as the editor of the anti-war anthology Jihad bil Qalam: To Strive by Means of the Pen. He also writes, directs, and designs for the theatre. Originally from Michigan, he now lives in a one-room cabin in the shadow of the Absaroka mountains south of Livingston, Montana.

"What to Pray For" Wins Editors Award

I have just been informed that my poem "What to Pray For" was selected for the 2008 Pirene's Fountain Editor's Award. I'm honored.



The poem, which is included in The Moon Cracks Open: A Field Guide to the Birds, was written one evening sitting outside of the Red Eye, and was one of those "stumble-upon" pieces. on Weekly “Report from the Mountains”




A weekly update of poetry with a twist of jazz begins airing on 90.1 FM, Delta College Public Radio on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 8:50 am during Morning Edition and again at approximately 12:30 pm during The Session.
