Hi Margot,

I never received a reply from John Kremer. I thought, since he created this network, he would know the answer. I did hear from another member, who agreed with me, so...

Thanks,

Sandra

Hi Margot,

When you go to send a message to all of your friends, there's a question at the bottom of the pop-up screen that asks if you want your message to go to your friends on this network. You should be sure to check that box, if you only want it to go to friends on Book Marketing Network.

I'm going to send this on to John Kremer for verification because I am certainly not an expert. Thanks for your comment.

Well, all the west coast authors and illustrators (like myself), who publish with G.A.P, are meeting on September 18th and 19th, here in Bend, Oregon, to get to know each other face-to-face, tour the area a little, and then do a huge book signing on the Sat afternoon at Barnes & Noble's bookstore. K.C. Snider, a well known artist and illustrator (lots of art prizes) will be our hostess over the two days. She did the cover of my next book, "Ruthie and the Hippo's Fat Behind," and it is so cute and appealing - especially that scene stealing hippo!! It is in my photos here.

Apart from that, I have 2 new picture books coming out next year, + a YA adventure for boys, set in the Aussie outback territory. And I still do a lot of manuscript critiques, and keep up my website and two blogs. My husband wants me to slow down and smell the roses - or at least smell something other than ink cartridges and manuscript paper.

Are you on Twitter and Facebook? I find they are worthwhile for promoting my books and critiquing services. There are so many social sites that it is hard to choose which ones work for you and which to let slide.

Hi Margot! I got a chuckle out of your message ... I'm always trying to find the right schedule and never seem to have any luck! :) As for my writing, I just wrote an article for Appleseeds, and a picture book that's being used for a back-to-school campaign. That was a lot of fun--certainly keeping busy! Can't wait to hear what projects you have up your sleeve! :)

All the best,
Lori

Hi Margot: Terrific to connect with you here. I've been a bit quite. But now that the girls are heading back to school on Sept 8th I plan on being more active. Have a great weekend!

Warm regards,

That whole network is geared towards kids books.
I am currently editting and publishing a kids book for my first outside author.
I belong to another kids social network as well cause my books are about teens and tweens.
