Marie,
I'm so glad you enjoyed Private Lives, a critique like yours leaves one feeling pleasantly warm inside. It is a difficult book to describe to potential readers so I'm doubly grateful to you for deciding to take the plunge. Would you mind posting your critique on http://www.amazon.com/Private-Lives-Simon-Marshland/dp/1905809522/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1263678861&sr=1-1 my Amazon page. It's a bit bare right now though if you would rather not I quite understand.

Simon, I enjoyed your book "Private Lives" very much. For such an unusual plot, you handled it very well. I thoroughly enjoyed your descriptive "sense of place" throughout the book. It is a great love story, also. My only disappointment was that it ended too abruptly. However, the epilogue left me feeling happy and hopeful. Private Lives is a great read and totally believable - at least to me.

Simon, your book "Private Lives" arrived today, and looks very interesting. I'm in the middle of "The Help" right now, but your book is next. I'll let you know how I like it.

Hello Marie Pinschmidt,

Thank you for your kind comments on my short story Evening Reflections. In answer to your question it was never designed to be a blog and does form part of a collection of stories which I've never got around to publishing. Perhaps I should give it a try. I hope you enjoy Private Lives but look forward to your critique either way.

Hi Marie,

I'm sorry I haven't responded sooner. Forgive me. So much going on here. My son and daughter-in-law are newly married (last year) and are expecting their first baby in 3 wks! We'll be first-time grandparents!
Yes, I'd love to be your friend in Florida :) I'm in the Jacksonville area and I wrote my Christian women's book about 10 yrs. ago, but had it
published 2 yrs. ago. Then this year, I re-published a revised edition with added material and new cover. Now the fun begins. Marketing and promotion are challenging to be sure. I know God will open the doors that need to be opened at the right time. Waiting is not fun, but often necessary. Please visit my website at www.Godmissionpossible.com to see what it is all about! I look forward to going to your website and investigating further soon... Sounds like you've been busy writing for awhile. God bless you,

Deborah
