Profile Information

Something About Me and My Book:
My friend's call me Raindog.

I've been writing poetry for over twenty years (really, it's been a life-long pursuit), as well as publishing other poets/writers through my Lummox Press (either in my Little Red Book series or the Lummox Journal - a magazine I published for 11 years).

Since my last entry, I have published a number of books of my own: Fire and Rain, Volumes 1 & 2 (a collection of poems from the past fifteen years); On/Off the Beaten Path (a collection of three long road poems - two of these poems are personal favorites: the title poem and RoadKill); and El Pagano and Other Twisted Tales (a collection of short stories and micro-fiction).

In addition to these, I have also published New and Selected Poems by John Yamrus (2008); The Riddle of the Wooden Gun by Todd Moore (2009); The Long Way Home - poems from the first ten years of the Little Red Book series (2009); Sea Trails by Pris Campbell (2009) and Down This Crooked Road by seven different poets (2009).

All these titles are available on the Lummox website (newly revamped for your reading pleasure) or via Amazon.com. Please stop on by and check them out.

Next year I'm planning to publish more collections of small press poetry by poets such as Gerald Locklin, John Bennett, Rick Smith, and others.

One Man on a Mission

I know that poetry is not seen as something that "serious" writers do, but I'm trying to change that. Just give me a chance, that's all I ask. Just visit Lummox Press and look around, I think you might be surprised at what you find.
