"You Used To Live In My House" is a first person narrative of the first 25 years of my relationship journey with my wife and our family...from our first meeting on March 6,1981 through March 6, 2006.
On our (beach) wedding day, my 3 children, and her 2, were ages 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12. "If you get to know us we should give you hope!"
This book is about me and my family...our experiences. However, I believe that my book addresses universal experiences. We faced what thousands, perhaps millions of families face: The dynamics of moving a newly blended family across the country, job loss, marital struggles, counseling, separation & reconciliation, loss of a child, alcohol abuse...to name a few.
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on June 18, 2008. We didn't take the shortest or smoothest road to that silver occasion and that's the point.
My purpose in writing this story, and with my life, is to impact lives in healthy and positive ways.
Following John Kremer's lead I purchased a copy of Talk Radio for Authors by Francine Silverman. So far it's paid off with interview on "Book Talk with Gail Cohn" and Sallie Fenton's "A Fresh Start" radio talk show.
I'm looking forward to turning 66 in November. I ran a 10 Mile race with my youngest son on Labor Day. We're ready to greet our fourth grandchild in San Diego...and continue working on my next book.
