- Hi there! I am Dutch Canadian author who currently lives in Europe.
"The Java Gold" is my first full-length multipart novel of which “The Odyssey” is the first volume. This book is a result of my keen interest in aviation and its influence on modern history – especially World War II - plus the first-hand, local knowledge of countries and places I have been able to gather during my travels all over the globe.
The idea for the ‘The Java Gold’ was born during a steak and beer dinner in a California micro brewery. I had just discovered a series of remarkable facts happening during and after WW2 in the former Dutch East Indies. I remarked I could use these facts to write a thriller around them. And one of my close friends dared me to do so.
And I did!
