Something About Me and My Book:
I'm a mother of 3, wife to 1. I have crafters ADHD (I go from craft to craft; from project to project without rhyme or reason). Two of my three beautiful children have special needs, so I also maintain a blog on that.

"Lisabeth" is my historical romance.

Propriety sucks – at least for a woman set for an arranged marriage to an abusive man in 1870’s Richmond – and that’s why Lisabeth Cross is running away. She stops in Milford for what is supposed to be a brief visit to say goodbye to her brother before she disappears. A surprising proposal compels her to stay in Milford – where the demons of her past will, without a doubt, catch up to her.

Her ex-fiance arrives in search of her – bringing on a tragedy that she only thought she’d hoped for. In the aftermath she faces a future she never could have dreamed for herself, if she dares.

The Whirlwind

What a whirlwind of a week! I didn't want it to end...but it did come to an end with a screeching halt.

First the ups...

1. Got a partial request on Tuesday. My first yet.

2. Also on Tuesday got a surprise check from our unused Gap insurance - good timing, we needed it!

3. Again on Tuesday, we got word that we will likely have transportation again early next week. No guarantees, but the hope is what I needed.

4. Thursday was my…

Excerpt

An excerpt from Lisabeth. I wasn't going to post this because it's about halfway through the book. But it keeps calling to me, asking to be posted...so here it is. One of my favorite scenes for a myriad of reasons. "She" is Lisabeth, of course. "He" is...well, you'll have to wait until the novel's published to know for sure :D

He spun, grateful for the continuing rumbles of thunder that distracted her, the flashes of lightening that pulled her eyes to the horizon.…

I love the internet!

I've mentioned previously on Sadie's Storylines about my next novel, Descendants of Salem. I've also mentioned that I am located in the heart of the bible belt. I'm in a small podunk town in the heart of a bible belt whose library depends on donations for it to survive.

I went to my podunk little town's library for research on the Salem Witch Trials. Would you like to know what I found?

2 books.

One of those books… Continue
