Something About Me and My Book:
Writing fiction for several years, with the release of my debut murder thriller, Larceny, the shift from writing for pleasure to writing for mainstream readership has begun. My series of thriller manuscripts embrace the criminal mind with twisted plots sparked by real life characters inhabiting a vivid literary atmosphere. I am currently completing more than one manuscript each year, with three manuscripts in active production at any given time. All of my books are based in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Throughout my novels there are two characters that flow from book to book, along with their significant others. Although the main protagonists and antagonists change from novel to novel,
these mainstay characters carry their past and create their futures through each of the books.
I have written three books in addition to Larceny; Paradise Awakens, Sweet Alicia and Trapped. I am currently writing a sequel to Larceny, The Heretic. I also write a weekly short story series dubbed “Murderous Mondays” I publish to my blog. You can check out my website at www.salvatoregrasso.com where you can subscribe to the mailing list to receive these stories along with news and information delivered to your email account.
A long time resident of Media, Delaware County PA I was born and raised in West Philadelphia. I grew up in a solidly middle-class environment, the oldest of three boys. After graduating from St. Thomas More Catholic Boys’ High School and St. Joseph’s University, I passed the CPA exam. I began his professional career in the newspaper publishing industry. After a three-year stint in Flint Michigan in the cable television business, I returned to Philadelphia to continue my professional career. Moving into the venture capital/private equity business I spent almost twenty years as a partner in a venture firm. I currently hold the position of Chief Operating Officer in the Technology Transfer Officer of a major Philadelphia research university. I have traveled extensively throughout the United States and have also traveled frequently to Europe and Central America. In my spare time I enjoy custom woodworking, home remodeling, weightlifting and riding my Harley Davidson Road King.

When Greed is Your Mistress and Power her Aphrodisiac, People Become Expendable
Set in Philadelphia PA, Larceny presents an intricate web of deception and diabolical revenge, where avarice and lust create a backdrop for murder.
Exploring the intriguing subject of corporate corruption in higher education, Larceny presents an explosive fictional example of the deadly consequences resulting when greed, lust, and corruption collide behind the stately walls of a prestigious university.
Intelligent dialogue and edgy characters make the 380-page novel a compelling read. The intended audience is 25-65 year old readers interested in thriller murders with intricate plots and credible
sub plots. Larceny uniquely crosses the boundary between industry and academia and offers an ending that is as thrilling as it is unpredictable.

Workdays

Could she be any more arrogant? My first reaction was to rip into her with savage fury. After a walk to the vending machines I finally corralled my emotions before they ran amok.

Returning to the stockroom I looked for her. She was new, first day on the job. I hadn’t said more than ten words to her before she went off like a hand grenade. The concussion of her reaction was enough to send me diving for cover. In Vietnam we were taught to find cover and then lay down an enfilade.… Continue
