Something About Me and My Book:
I have sold over 24,000 Kindle edition copies of my books, articles, and stories in the past six months, and now I have published a book to help other authors and independent publishers to use the Kindle and other new technologies to create their own success stories. I founded Harvard Perspectives Press back in 1999 and have guided two previous titles to niche bestseller status. My new book is called The Complete Step-by-Step Guide To Publishing Books, Articles & Other Content for the Amazon Kindle and is available, of course, both in paperback and Kindle editions at http://kindlepublishers.blogspot.com.

A great marketing idea to harvest book reviews, and the review that it netted from me

Not long ago I responded to a promotion by Thomas Nelson Publishers, offering a free copy of Stephen Mansfield's new book The Faith of Barack Obama to bloggers who would promise to write a review of the book. There was no requirement that the review be positive, negative, neutral, or anything else. The book arrived by Priority Mail less than 48 hours after I emailed my response. Here is the review that I posted on… Continue

Thanks for your note Stephen.
I just put the last pages on my first book last week. What a wonderful feeling that was! I understand the focus during those final days! Now- on to the real work - and more writing, writing, writing.
Yes, I live in the middle of the rainforest here on the Big Island. It is a magnificent place to call home. When I travel it does my heart good to know I will be returning to the islands. I look forward to learning more here.
Aloha for now

Ah, good question!

The Kindle is Amazon's e-reader, launched in November 2007. Click here to find out more, or check a couple of my links on the Kindle below, but the quick answer here is that it is a terrific and free publishing opportunity for indie authors.
