At the age of 16 i quit high school and talked my father into signing papers so that I could join the Army. After basic I was sent to Okinawa until I turned 18. Shortly after my eighteenth birthday I received orders to go to Vietnam where I spent two years with the 4th Transportation Command in Saigon. After my return to the states civilian life just didn't cut it so I joined the Reserves and eventually became a Drill Instructor, I retired from the 98th Div in New York State after 30 years. I have written a number of books now but my first was my memoirs called "A Boy in a hurry for manhood to arrive". It is available on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com
