I decided to write about hard-boiled noir private eye fiction because I didn't like modern-day detective novels about current times. It was like reading the news...it depressed me. hardcore killers cutting out eyes or hearts and mailing them to a detective. Little character development...just violence. My characters make the story...I have a little violence...a little romance...a little tension and people end up loving the characters.
