Something About Me and My Book:
I'm the co-author and publisher of a series of movie review books by movie theme. Our books are guides to a wide variety of movies from the 20's to current time. They're written with the regular movie watcher in mind and give a real sense of the movie to help save time and money when you are looking to buy, rent or just watch a movie at home or at the theater. The books are peppered with interesting quotes from the movies that are reviewed.

We're currently working on the first volume of Movies About Women and have produced Movies About Weddings and Movies About Christmas.

We have at least 20 more categories to produce. Many will be penned by my husband and myself, but we will be looking for experts in different subject matter to contribute to some of the themes.

We also published Car Advice For Women (and Smart Men) at the end of 2008 and will be publishing a safety book in 2011. This book was based on our freelance automotive journalism experience of over 25 years.

The movie review books are based on a love of movies for most of our lives.

I grew up in Southern Ontario outside Woodstock and graduated from the University of Guelph. I had a 32 year career at Sears Canada Inc progressing from department manager in the retail stores to management roles in the headquarters in the buying departments and then in IT. On vacations I participated in many new car launches and covered auto shows around the globe as a journalist with my husband.

I've been married to my husband and co-author/publisher for 35 years. Alex has been a writer from his childhood forward and a journalist for over 30 years. He covered sports, theater and specialized in the automotive world.

He is also the author of To An Easy Grave - a crime fiction book published by St. Martin's Press. Together we provide a balanced approach to our subject matter.

Our foray into publishing came when I took early retirement from Sears and we focused on the automotive area and the lack of interest and understanding from most women we met. We were concerned that this lack of knowledge led to safety issues and our book put a lot of that into a clear picture that was easy to read. We've had praise from many of our readers and in fact the information in the book attributed to several saved lives.

Thanks Susan. My self help memoirs have helped many people understand that thinking about life and what we have been taught to believe can be questioned and greater self direction can lead to the life we desire. I'm bringing out my fourth book in 2012 so I will let you know when. I appreciate your support.

I'm trying to load my picture on Twitter and having NO luck. Shows you how dim I am! Have managed loading the picture elsewhere, so if you can help, it would be GREAT! With the pic, it says max 700k.
