Profile Information

Something About Me and My Book:
Tabitha R Pike resides in a quaint little valley between two towering mountains with her husband and three children. She spent five years living beside the Hills of Copper off Hwy 64 in the county she was originally born. Living in Southern County of the great state of Georgia and Tennessee she learned how to be an original artist of life. A couple of times she had a near death experiences. Once she realized that her dreams held meaning she used that understanding to make her life gold. Tabitha is the soon to be author of the New York Times bestselling Linking Stones series and The People of the Dark.

I've secretly wanted to leave my Mark on the World.

I often kept the desire secret, because I knew that it would be a challenge to leave behind a legacy for my decedents, and I didn't want people to think I was loco. As a kid, I lived in my head a lot, making up adventures, and sometimes sharing my imaginary games with my sisters. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always spent a huge portion of my free time daydreaming and making up imaginative stories. As I aged, those stories became more elaborate and compelling, and I decided that I wanted to share them with others. That was when I became serious about writing.

To leave my mark upon the world would be a dream come true. I just don't want to die first before my work is noticed. I want my work to live on even after I am gone such as all the great writers of times past; William Shakesphere, Edgar Allen Poe, Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, Dean Koontz, Stephine Meyers, Brandon Mull, J.K Rowlings, Stephen King, Rachel Mead, Charlaine Harris, Karen Marie Moning, Rick Riordan, Christopher Paolini,William P. Young, Janette Oke, Ernest Hemingway, C.S. Lewis, H.G. Wells, Dr. Seuss, Plato, and Emily Dickinson.

When I started putting my imagination to paper.

Through high school and college I mostly practiced by writing poetry and short stories. After graduating in 2003, I nearly lost interest in writing altogether because of personal factors in my life. Upon reuniting with a long lost friend, now my husband a fire sparked within me again and began writing my first book of poetry. I was rejected my times by agents and publishers before I was published. I then began writing my first novel “Dream” The first in the Linking Stones series. There also I was rejected many times by publishers and agents because no one was looking for that type of book so I self published my book and placed it on the market. My third novel “Dragon Tears” which was my first teen novel was picked up by a Publisher and was put on the market in 2011. I am now working on a new novel called “People of the Dark” which I hope to finish sometime this year.

I am now contentedly living toward my dream. Between writing and promoting, I work more hours in a week than I ever have, but I am passionate about my goals in life. I love my husband and kids more than words can say. I am relieved doing what I adore most in this world being with my family and putting imagination into words.

A long dark haired beauty named Alleah has an IQ of 230. The amazing thing about her is she is the best heart surgeon in the world, and she is 19 years old. While holding in her hands the  heart of a seven year old boy he dies. Alleah's life is turned upside down. The head of the hospital and a dear friend Colton tells her to take a 2 month break. Reluctantly Alleah takes a vacation to find her self again. She decides to visit the home where she spent the first seven years of her life, her family home which was left to her after her parents death. While visiting she decides to camp at a waterfall on the mountain near her childhood home. There her life is thrown into a secret world of mysterious man.

 Excerpt:

The sound of the waterfall soothed my soul. I unpacked my backpack set up my sleeping bag, and started a camp fire. This truly was a secluded place. I was feeling like me again, when I heard a gun shot echo through the trees. I heard a man yell in pain. Something took over my legs. I jumped up and ran toward the sound. When I got close I could see a man laying on the ground bleeding. Another mysterious man in a long black trench coat hovered over him.

I screamed. The dark stranger turned to look at me then he disappeared before my eyes in a shadowy mist. I rubbed my eyes. I must be imaging things. A man could not just disappear. The wounded man was lying on the ground bleeding from his chest. I quickly but cautiously made my way over to the injured man. I was so confused, was I loosing my mind?

After Alleah performs emergency surgery on the dark handsome stranger

I sat by the campfire for a while poking the hot embers with a stick. The thought of the disappearing stranger still plagued my mind. I just could not shake the feeling that something strange was going on. Did I hit my head and fall down the rabbit hole? Or did I take the red pill instead of the blue one? Who knows? I just knew that something was not right.

I decided to check his vitals again. Everything was normal. I proceeded to check his pupils to see if they were dilated, but when I did, I received the shock of my life. I got to my feet and backed away. Did I just see what I think I did? No Way, I could not have.

I stood about two feet from the stranger laying in the sleeping bag my mind running a hundred miles a minute. I must be dreaming. That was it, I was still asleep. I pinched my arm to find out. “Ouch, I am awake.” Well, maybe I was loosing my mind.

I slowly crouched down beside the stranger again. I had to take another look at his eyes, when my hand was nearly to his lids the stranger open up his eyes. It was just as I expected, I had seen what I though I had seen. It startled me so badly I feel back on the ground beside him.

He let out a loud groan. “Where am I?”

In shock I did not say anything, His eyes still flashing in my mind. He was not human, or was he? His irises where the most brilliant color of green I had ever seen; they were nearly neon green, His large black pupils where shaped as a heart. Finally I shook myself back to reality. It had to be contacts. That’s what it was, contacts. Movie directors used them all the time in their movies.

A Letter to You from Alleah

Dear Friends,

After I meet that stranger on the mountain my world was turned upside down. My IQ of 230 was blown out of the water and nothing made no sense to me. Everything I had been taught was dust in the wind. Even through my confusion at first I grew to understand this hidden truth. I went on the most life changing life altering adventure of my life. Oh, and by the way, I found out that the mysterious dark stranger did not have on contact lenses; He was born that way, and He was not the only one. To find out what happens next you must wait until my story "People of the Dark" hits the shelves. I look forward to sharing my adventure down the rabbit hole with you. If you must take the red pill and be free of the matrix and join me in the truth that I now know.

With eyes wide open,

Your friend,

Alleah
