Profile Information

Something About Me and My Book:
My name is Tim Holland and I am the author of a non-fiction sports book entitled "Sports Talk Radio Is A Waste of Time (And so is This Book)". An enlightening, opinionated and entertaining look at the world of sport past, present and future. The book is written from a common sense perspective as it deals with sports topics at the level of people first. What sports means to us. How we view them. And my opinion on how it is today, how it once was and what it can be. To get my points across I use stories from my own sports experiences along with historical perspective. The book was written to start conversation among sports fans, make them think, give them a different point of view and allow for feedback. "Sports Talk Radio Is A Waste Of Time (And so is This Book)" is a nice read for anyone who likes sports and has an opinion on it.

A Little Known History Fact

In my book "Sports Talk Radio Is A Waste Of Time (And so is This Book)" I wrote a chapter called "Know Your History."  In it, I cover how many people who follow sports don't know the history of it as they should.  And many people who chronicle it do not as well.  Today, on my website Sportscommonsense.com I write on my blog "The Games We Play" once again how history has not been written correctly.  My nephew gave me the idea to write about the first African-American NASCAR racer whom…

Timothy, your book sounds interesting and fun.  However, sports is not my thing at all.  Also, I am completely swamped right now with trying to meet a deadline for publication of the sequel to my novel, Currents Deep and Deadly.

With that said, if you still have any interest in reviewing "Currents", it has elements of your interests; fiction, mystery, religion, history, and I'd like to think one can learn something from it.

If you want to check it out at www.currentsdeepanddeadly.com or on amazon.com (there are a few reviews there), and decide you'd like to review it, let me know and I'll mail a copy.

Thanks for the offer.

Arleen Alleman
