My book is a true story of how 11 men fought, lived, laughed and died, trading their lives for each over during World War II. Their ship was a B-24 Bomber called the Daisy Mae which was a plane that had a heart and a soul. They all fought a desperate battle over Wake Island in July 24, 1943.
A message runs through the story that lives on years after the men are gone. "Never underestimate the power of hope."
Lt. Benjamin I. Weiss, Navigator of the Daisy Mae.
