William Wheeler is a new author and illustrator to the children's book arena. The books developed are based on the idea that a single series of events is experienced by different individuals in unique ways, resulting in unique stories and settings.
Introducing a new concept in children’s story telling! The children’s books Robert, Drake and Franklin all tell the same story of how these three friends interact with a challenge they face, but each book tells it through the individual’s unique perspective. By telling the story through these unique perspectives, children can learn to better understand their friends and appreciate their different personalities.
The story in each book shows the same scene, but from the unique perspective of the main character. Through colorful imagery with unique perspective and shadows telling the mood of the main character, the conflicts and resolution of these friends are shown. Children learn that while they believe others might seem like they are focused on their shortcomings, others are more worried about their own challenges.
These books are intended for children between 2 and 5. Since kids like reading the same books repeatedly, telling the same story from three different perspectives can help them understand people. As the books are intended for children, and to be read more than once, the hope is for parents to read all three to the children and compare how the different characters interact.
