The 10 Common Traits of An Entrepreneur

1. Driven by an internal value or meaning - Example: my # 1 value that I want and need most in my life is freedom. Freedom of choice, freedom of expression, freedom to explore, for others it may be creativity they must express their creativity and can only do so in their own unique way. Others have a real value around making a contribution or to make a difference in the world.

I never see money as the #1 priority or driving force.

2. Natural Leaders - They are people who… Continue

Book Excerpt From My Upcoming Book: Winning The Game of Business: The Entreprenuer's Quest For Ultimate Success

Introduction

This book began long before I actually sat down to write. It began the morning I decided to change the direction of my life. I call this my defining moment.

Back then; I was 22 years old and going nowhere fast. I had no money, no place to live, no car, and no job. I had alienated my family and friends. My dad was a successful businessman, but I had spent years separating myself from him. He did not know how to emotionally connect with many people, especially me,… Continue

Detaching from Attachment

The principal of detachment is one I have simultaneously mastered and bumped up against for years. It all depends on the situation I’m in. Let me explain . . .

You know that excited feeling you get when you begin shopping for a new car? You walk into the dealership and see all the gleaming choices? Your heart begins to race as you fall in love with one particular make and model. It is called love at first sight. Within moments you’ve admired it from every angle, run your hands over… Continue

The Wilderness Experience

Where you look is where you go!,

In August, I spent an amazing ten days hiking in the Saw Tooth Mountains of Idaho where I had the opportunity to travel down the rapids of the upper middle fork of the Salmon River. It was all part of an incredible seminar, titled “The Wilderness Experience.”,

The seminar is designed to help participants step outside their personal comfort zones so they can get familiar with what that feels like and learn to take personal leadership in their… Continue

Why win the game of business?

Why would you want to win the game of business!

In the end, the reason we all want business success is to be happy. But you want to be happy in all areas of your life, don’t you? Of course you do. We all do. So why do so many of us try to separate our business lives from the rest of our lives?

My opinion? Big mistake.

People typically spend 50 – 60 hours a week at work, and, if you own a business, you spend another 20 hours thinking about it. So any… Continue
