Each of us responds better to accountability and judgment when it comes from our peers.

Hi Rick, I went to your site....my computer kept closing up but I think what your doing is great. Sorry about your mother.....

I do try to stop violence to teens by speaking to them and showing the video, The Choice Is Yours, that I filmed on Tn death row. www.thechoiceisyours.org

I also work witih death row inmates and I started the Jeff Dicks Coalition after my son was killed. www.jeffdicks.org and we fight for medical care for prisoners who are being mistreated.

I see you were in Vietnam. I wrote a book called From Vietnam To Hell back in the early 90's...it was one of my first books actually....

So much is wrong wtih the system and so much violence today. I wish it could be like it was in the fifties when I grew up....but it can never go back to those times where it was safe to go out at night and we never heard of murder. Kids fought with their fist if they had a disagreement and not guns and knives....I sure wish my kids could have grew up in those times....

It was good to hear from you and to get to know you....

Peer accountablility... I am sorry that your mom's murder had triggered you into trying to teach your community -- you could have gone either way -- i just went to your site and i'm very moved by your mission -- unfortunately, as i was watching your video it just stopped but i respect your mission and am eager to hear and learn more about you --

hi Judi, yes she is--a little older now but just as sweet
our web is about to be changed but the old one still up is blackdogfoundation.org
it started out just helping friends deal with things they feared-cops--court--community services--va--and so on
my background had been hard enough the things they were needing help with i knew how to face
every community has those folks that stand loyally behind someone that has their head up their butt
vets standing on their own two feet not seeking help--but their family has to tighten their belts so as not to be disloyal-
those trying to get off meth or booze--fearing that finger pointing from both sides as they struggle
people who are afraid of anything could reach out and i would help they find harmony
then when my mother was murdered by domestic violence i made a new try at teaching community ownership by peer accountability
more later if your into it?
