Profile Information

Something About Me and My Book:
I am a Booklocker.com author with three fiction novels released through them. The first book, "Verifiable Evidence," is about Jack Cole, a detective in his early fifties. In his shoulder holster is a Glock .45 and it's not a fashion statement. Cole takes on a missing husband case which reaches it's tenicles up and down the west coast.

The second book, "Forty Miles Of Bad Road," is a western centered around time travel. It's more than a western. It's a love story about a man, a woman, his friends, his enemy, the land, the law, and a boy too young to know about revenge.

One lady told me she didn't care for westerns but she liked this one. She also didn't care for Sci/Fi but again, she enjoyed this book. (And no, she wasn't my mother. LOL) "Forty Miles" is also available from Booklocker.com. http://www.booklocker.com/books/3637.html

"Verifiable Evidence" was released under the pseudonym Loren Douglas. I wrote an article about doing it that way. You can find it at: http://writersweekly.com/this_weeks_article/004884_08272008.html

The third novel is "Professional Woman," the story chronicling the journey of Rachael Stortini from contented country housewife to professional assassin.

Thanks for stopping by.

EAT SENSIBLE, EAT OFTEN, EAT SMART

Okay now, I want to see a show of hands.  Who out there has ever, or knows somebody who has tried a new diet?  After losing maybe ten to twenty pounds, you get sidetracked and the diet goes the by and by.  Here’s the part I find most interesting.  Within a short time, you regain the pounds you lost plus add five or ten extra as a door prize.

In this article I will show you two things.  The first is why you can’t keep the weight off and the second is something you can do about…

NAILS, A GIRLS BEST FRIEND

One has not truly experienced life until visiting a pawn shop. It is a cultural experience worth the time. The thing I found most striking on my first visit was the number of wedding rings in the glass case which also served as a counter. I can only imagine the heartaches behind each one of them.

When I was in junior and senior high school, every summer was spent working with my father. He was a licensed general contractor who did smaller jobs in a metropolitan area. Sometime during the… Continue

A CHRISTMAS STORY

I didn't write this but it did touch my heart and I thought you all might enjoy reading it.

THE DIME

Bobby was getting cold sitting out in his back yard in the snow. Bobby didn't wear boots; he didn't like them and anyway he didn't own any. The thin sneakers he wore had a few holes in them and they did a poor job of keeping out the cold. Bobby had been in his backyard for about an hour already. And, try as he might, he could not come up with an idea for his mother's… Continue

BEEN DRAGGIN'?

Now that the days are shorter, have you noticed having a harder time getting it cranked up in the morning? Do you feel like carrying a machete around so you can reach around and cut off the part that's dragging? Perhaps you feel like you were at a big party the night before but you can't remember being there.

Well, I've got good news for you. Are you aware that often times during the winter we feel really drowsy in the morning for the simple reason that your body temperature hasn't… Continue
