I'm just curious. How many people who have read this site have purchased a book mentioned? I must admit I haven't yet. But the web is new. Margaret Guthrie

Something About Me and My Book:
The Return is about two sisters searching for the truth about the murder of their parents 30 years ago. The perpetrator is dead, but what will others there That Night when their father was beaten and mother strangled have to say? Lydia's mother's spirit is asking 'why.' This leads Lydia into some strange conversations. Margie abhors the notion of spirit communication. But some little girls are very curious about that old shed in back of the sisters house and when the dead children will be let out. And what exactly is a concientious objector to war, and can it be their mother was too eager to persuade her student to become one? As the sisters get involved in this Quaker community to which they return, surprising things happen.

Thank you Margaret for your comments.

Hardly intrigue - see mentioned by you. As Lockerbie details hit the fan once more; publicity is needed as to what really is going on there.

GENTLE RAINS

A TIME TO HEAL WITH GENTLE RAINS
THEIR SOUND IS SOFT AND SWEET
THEY HEAL A DEAD AND LONELY HEART
OR THOSE WHO FACE DEFEAT
THE SOFT CARESS OF RAIN DROPS
THE DEEPENED THUNDERS ROAR
I'LL LISTEN TO MY GENTLE RAINS
TILL I FEEL PAIN NO MORE

Thanks for the personal comment. I did look at the SP group, but don't have a clear picture of what would be involved. And I didn't get the title of y our book or what it's about. Guess I could look on the Wessex web. Are you also with www.booklink.com? I'll keep in touch. Margaret

Hi Margaret
Another Wessexian, I see. That's a very interesting project.

It looks like you might be able to either profit by or contribute to my new Self Publishing group here on BMN.
Please take a look, we're trying to build it into a resource for writers who prefer to be their own publisher.

One of the influences that led me to write The Return was the murder of my niece in Philadelphia at the age of 33, by someone she knew. I had to explore the possibilities of how that could happen. Thanks for being interested in reading it. I look forward to your comments. I'll try to reciprocate. Margaret

Margaret,
You book sounds fascinating. I will add it to my list of books to get and read. Interestingly, both our novel deals with a parent(s) murder 30 years ago. Thank you for posting this.

My novel, The Return, is only found on www.Thebooklink.com so don't think I can afford to pay for reviews that go to amazon.com, for example. Margaret
