Is the Librarian Association Convention in Chicago a "good" thing to attend?

I am interested in feedback on http://www.ala.org/ala/conferencesevents/upcoming/annual/index.cfm

I will not be attending, however I would like to know how this event effects authors and is it worth it for next year to purchase a booth for exibiting.

I will give some thought about going next year and happy it went well for you. The publisher has only put out general info that the expo went well. As far as my own book, Facts Don't Matter, I do not know.

I am busy locally with promotion. I have a radio interview this afternoon on 1490 KBUR in Burlngton IA Saturday I have a booksigning @ B Dalton in Westland Mall in W Burlington IA. It seems it is marketing ,marketing marketing..

May we ll sell lots of books.

I am also interested in the NYC Book Expo. Need a little boost. I have followed protocol and more on my own by doing local advertising, etc.

Good luck to all.
