Welcome!

Just wanted to make a note and thank everyone who has added me to their friends list. I certainly could use all the advice I can get. I recently self-published my first book and I look forward to really getting it out there.

Enjoy!

Wiccans and Pagans: Make Your Vote Count

Wiccans and Pagans: It is time to Step Of the Shadows And Make Your Vote Count

By

Theresa Chaze

I posted a political piece on my page at a Wiccan and Pagan Networking site. The first comment was made by someone who didn't give a damn. Being politically and socially active isn't optional; it is a responsibility that we all share. After the past seven years of the whittling away of civil liberties, corporate greed, and government spying on the citizens of this country, we…

Intro to Interview of Webb Sawyer of Blue Heron Marsh by Douglas Quinn

Webb Sawyer's Marsh House at Blue Heron Marsh, Nags Head, NC

This is the lead-in to an interview of Webb Sawyer by Douglas Quinn. Webb Sawyer is Douglas Quinn’s main character in his mystery novel Blue Heron Marsh. DQ thought this would be an interesting way to introduce readers to his book and characters. The full interview may be read at:…

Audio book production company recommendations

Does anyone have any positive experiences with specific book production companies, making their print books into audio books? We're looking into this as a next step for both children's and adult titles and would like some feedback from those who have done it already. Thanks!

CrazyFun

My first published book (play).

Are you a director, producer, or an artist looking for something different? Well, look no more because CrazyFun© has found you. CrazyFun© is a live sketch comedy without the many limits most theatre productions come with. Starting with the production side of CrazyFun© this show will make it easy for all involved. The sets, costumes, props, and all ideas can be very elaborate, or simple, which means you…

Are there any Florida authors out there?

Hi there! I know I posted somethng before about looking for local authors but I didn't get anything back from anyone. So I thought I would try this again.

I have a huge book signing planned for March 8 and 9 and I am looking for authors to attend. It's going to be at a very large Flea market which has about 40 thousand visitors passing through every weekend.

If you would like to attend the manager is only charging us $10.00 per table, (they are 4 x 8) and you can split the cost…

I ate moldy bread...and chewed on labels.

Yep, I did it all. Being blind is sometimes yucky, especially when you end up with weird stuff in your mouth. The mold? I took a bite of bread that tasted moist, really moist, more than usual.…

Which is Greater - Offline Sales or Online Sales?

I'm conducting a survey over at Book Marketing Buzz over whether you sell more books online or offline. The reasoning behind this is because I believe it will help other authors learn just where those sales are. Granted, it takes both...but...if you had to add it up, which method has been selling your book more than the other if you had to choose? Leave a comment please at www.bookmarketingbuzz.wordpress.com.

Thank you!

Blast From My Past: Through a Bermuda Moongate

When I was 14, we moved to Bermuda. My father was in the Canadian Armed Forces and this was the best posting we'd ever gotten. We were all very excited. We packed up only the stuff we really needed and put everything ielse nto storage. And I said goodbye to my best friend Cathy. For those of you who have read Whale Song, you'll recognize this scenario.

I was sad to leave behind my best friend but…

The Whirlwind

What a whirlwind of a week! I didn't want it to end...but it did come to an end with a screeching halt.

First the ups...

1. Got a partial request on Tuesday. My first yet.

2. Also on Tuesday got a surprise check from our unused Gap insurance - good timing, we needed it!

3. Again on Tuesday, we got word that we will likely have transportation again early next week. No guarantees, but the hope is what I needed.

4. Thursday was my…

I'm a mazzikin...or is that mizzikin?

I hadn't been over to the Zooty & Flapper site for a couple days but was told he'd updated it and since I had some free time this afternoon, decided to check it out.

I have to say, he made me laugh. But I'll explain that later. Everything in italics is taken directly from his website, as is. You'll notice he's proud of his spelling errors.

On his home page, he has this to say about Victoria at Writer's Beware: Victoria Strauss of Writers…
