The Solved System - Easy as ABCD!

The Solved System should really come with a health warning! Something like 'This process can change your life. Do not proceed unless you are prepared for serious improvements.'

In many ways it is that simple. All you have to do is

A. Ask: What is the real problem?

B. Believe: Nurture your belief in your right to experience the best and in your ability to find a solution.

C.…

But for a twist of fate, Derious Cooper and Evan Jones might never have met...

The most common advice given to writers is the cliche "Write about what you know." When I began writing The Time Of My Life what I knew about was at risk kids and running track. I was teaching at a middle school in a suburb of Memphis and our school's population came largely from an area that was neither city nor county, and where there was a lot of gang activity, poverty and kids at risk for failing. At the same time my two sons had been running track and had begun to excel at distance…

Manga Art and Poetry come together in Kyle Hemmings "Down Moon Girl"

Down Moon Girl (a word play on the Anime series, Sailor Moon) is a collection of hybrid poetry/prose/flash fiction inspired by Manga art. The pieces revolve around young women in love or in solitude, shape-shifting between reality and fantasy. The setting is an alternate-reality Tokyo or New York. There is a strong flavor of magic realism running throughout many of the…

Lost sequel to Wes Craven’s SHOCKER! Read the 1992 Treatment that Recently Resurfaced

Folks have been hounding me about Shocker II now and again, and I finally came across it in a file cabinet from the bowels of my parent's garage! The 38-page treatment director WES CRAVEN got me to write in 1992 as a sequel to his film SHOCKER, starring Mitch Pileggi as Horace Pinker.  I and my agent at the time were going back and forth with Craven’s assistant about…

Writer's Self Promotion

Self Promotion.

The topic of promoting oneself brings to mind several aspects and related personalities of the past. There must be a huge ego thing with politicians for their self promotions which is not denied and which is a way of life for them. It could also be true for rock stars and others in the entertainment business. In the writing and publishing business, just look at the giants from the large presses and literature world. Where are the centers? They are: New York City,…

I'm doing the new year the right way.

Im am doing 2012 the right way so you will be hearing about my new book, a slave novel, yes we can't let it go. Benjamin Godly, a white plantation owner helps negroes after the civil war and during reconstruction, he help some pass for white and those who cant pass create the color line between light skin and brown skin black which inadvertly separates the black race in new deminions.
