What makes a writer better?

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what makes a writer better. Certainly, you have to be creative, that’s a given, and you have to love stories and reading. But what is that will make you better? Here’s my answer; time.

What do I mean by that?

With the exception of a few very talented people, most writers take years to hone their skills. Some writer’s like Stephen King say that a writer’s schooling is never finished. That writer’s always have something more to learn about…

I love being a woman!

Hi everyone!

Being a single mother of four daughters is probably enough for any woman to be inspired to institute change and growth within the female population.  With the constant inquiries of four young ladies; it is only maternal instinct to prompt my need for the sharing of knowledge and positive growth in all women; hence the inspiration for my book.

How to sell more books! My experience with ebooks.

I’m nearing the end of my sponsorship blitz, but I’m at the point where I can start posting my views on the whole ebook selling phenomenon. First of all, unless you’re already famous, have a strong following, or the most amazing title and cover art ever, don’t bother with expensive sponsorships. My results have been pretty much the same in extra sales whether the sponsorship I ran was $10 or $300.

If you’re going to place a sponsorship, I recommend the Kindle Fire Department.com,…

Poem: Torn Heart

Even now, my precious Lord,

I’m fully aware of the spiritual bleed

emanating from the wounds of my heart;

despite the ongoing pain, I’ve experienced

that genuine explosion of Your holy seed…

which was planted within the frailty

of this tear-filled, human existence.

Your timeless waves of abundance continue

to inundate the morning cries of sorrow

and to overwhelm my life’s resistance.

The fabric of my heart has been ripped;

from this…

Poem: Deep Within Me

Long ago my Lord, I desired…

to share myself with You completely.

Under Your everlasting covenant,

You etched Your message of Love

upon my open and tender heart.

Now I radiate with joy and knowledge

from having Your Principles imprinted

on my life and mind’s thinking.

As I’m steadfast on Your firm foundation,

continue to enhance our relationship.

Cleanse me from the impurities that stain,

as You have previously…
