In real life, when we hear of someone doing something bizarre or out of character, we often wonder, “What on earth possessed him to do that?” And, if we know the person, we might even think “That’s not like him.” But, since we know that he did it, we have no choice but to shrug our shoulders, shake our heads, accept it and move on. It happened; it’s a fact. In real…

I'm blogging at Literarily Speaking today with not only a cool way to promote your book, but an incentive for you as well! I found a neat program that allows you to make your own 3D movies (not hard at all) and I've used it to promote an upcoming book about relationships I will be self-publishing shortly. But...I goofed. There's a mistake in the video and I don't think I'm the only one who can notice it! …

I happened to pass a mirror the other day when the sun was at its brightest and shining through our living room window like a yellow spotlight. I was not so thrilled with what I saw. I’m 42, I workout daily, I eat properly, and I don’t smoke, but still, one cannot hide the years of living and experience etched into my epidermis. I cannot stop the slow regression of my hairline or the increasing aches and pains I experience at the end of each day and when I wake in the morning. I can only dye…

I had a good day, publicity wise yesterday. My press release for The Time Of My Life was featured in a very nice article in The Citizen, the local newspaper where I live in a great little town south of Atlanta. text messages came all day from neighbors who read about my book over their morning coffee or as they shuffled through the paper while they read the mail after work. I posted the link to my facebook page and heard from a friend I had not seen in seventeen years who could…

Do you realize that races are overrated,
since God is no respecter of persons?
Colored perceptions of hatred and bigotry
may ultimately destroy our existence.
Who needs people that:
• Lack brotherly love and respect for others
• Lust for power, wealth and domination
• Lack vision and purpose
• Lack maturity and wisdom
• Have attitudes of superiority
• Are poor in spirit
•…

I’m gently reminded of an old lesson,
that takes me back to Sunday School;
something, we’ve seem to have forgotten,
is living by the Bible’s “golden rule”.
For walking in God’s, true Love
towards others is always fashionable.
Remember! He has promised us strength
to operate under His “Christian label”.
When abiding by the principles of His Word,
we are able to treat others properly.
Desiring to be our…

A century ago Marcel Proust was inspired to write A Remembrance of Things Past as he sat staring at a Madeleine cookie. I can relate to that, since memories of Strawberry Socials, Harvest Suppers and Silver Teas prompted me to write the continuity for Eating at…

When you read about your competitors in the media or find out they have been asked to speak at a prestigious event where you would be an even stronger contributor, do you feel the hairs on the back of your neck start to stand on end?
You are not alone. In fact, this is a symptom of what my friend and colleague Nancy “Broadcast Your Brilliance” Juetten calls Well-Kept Secret Disease.
Experts, speakers, and consultants who have important content to share with their clients…
