For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers
You were beaten and bruised,
for the sinful likes of me;
three nails pierced Your flesh,
as You were hung… at Calvary.
An unthinkable act of Love
was cruelly executed for me;
for You took the punishment,
that had been… meant for me!
With forgiveness on Your breath,
You requested a pardon for those,
who carried out judgment on You,
as a death sentence was imposed.
A spear was thrust in Your side,
as Your demise was…

This week has been more of a learning curve for me with respect to promoting myself and my craft. My proposed “Book Talk” at the local Arts & Craft shop next month is not attracting people. Whether it’s because there are no potential writers or budding wannabees in the area, I’ve no idea. Let’s face it, not everyone wants to sit at a desk or in front of a computer writing their memoires or the next best seller. Just because I think it’s a…

Time has a way of passing faster than I would like when I have other things besides writing on my mind. It's been a month since I wrote a post. The reason why is on Jan. 30th I tried to cross the living room with one foot very much asleep and found out the hard way my foot wasn't going to hold me up. As I fell I heard a snap and realized I had broken a bone. My husband took me to ER for x-rays. A ligament tore loose from a bone and took a piece of the bone with it. The other ligaments in…

Wow, what an inspirational book! So what is it about, I hear you ask?
Well, is it a memoir, a wake-up call, confessions, a fly on the wall book, inspirational, horrific, well I could just keep going. However, if I had to use one word it would be mind-blowing!…

Lemons are sour. It’s unpleasant just like the difficulties and adversities we face in life. So, what do you do when life gives you lemons? Make lemonade.
The proverbial phrase "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" is used to encourage us to keep a positive attitude in the face of adversity. The lemons are sour, but you can use them to make sweet lemonade. This phrase reminds us that in spite of the problems we face in life, we can keep our chins up and march through…

My mother was a strong woman. There is no doubt about that. Looking back, I would often wonder how Mother managed to take care of me and my siblings. That was no easy task especially during the difficult times during and after World War II. She did all those without our father, who was drafted into the army and was missing after the war.

On the whole my week has been good in places and not so good in others. The kitchen didn’t happen: the suppliers called to say they couldn’t fulfil the order, so we had to reschedule the delivery. This meant phoning the kitchen fitter and making other arrangements. I picked up a head cold (man-flu for those who know how it is), which has left me coughing and sneezing all over the place. And so far I’ve had no real interest from the public in my…

It used to be that if you talked up a dozen or two readers about your books in a day you’d consider that a success. Scheduled book store signings would possibly bring in a few dozen more, if you were lucky. Boy, times sure have changed.
I am lucky enough to have secured not just one, but two Book of the Day sponsorship spots for two different books (DROP OUT – http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005FX0K7U on March 30th and THE END TIME –…
