For the most part they are not interested in your royalties because they don't think you will make any. They get their cash flow from the fees they charge you. Don't be fooled if they send you a contract for they are no more binding than their alleged services are. Always type the…

After breaking contract with a prominent NY literary agency nearly four years ago to pursue the ebook/indie publishing revolution I can now confidently say I know what it takes to sell books. This revelation comes after spending thousands of dollars on every marketing and promotional tool, sponsorship, and gimmick available. I can say that although some of these applications yielded modest sales, nothing compares to the secret I’m about to reveal. So here it…

When you should and when you should not read or write reviews.
The reviews system evolved during the 1970s and 80s when hordes of British tourists flocked to the south of Spain for cheap package holidays. Some of the deals were too good to be true – and that was precisely the problem: they were not true. Families turned up with savings that had taken them all year, cheap though…

I’m now into the last phase of my chemo and looking ahead to the days when it will be just a bad memory. In two weeks’ time my specialist will let me know what progress has been made. Progress in many things is often difficult to find, and none more so than persuading book readers to buy my books. I am currently promoting ROSELLI’S GOLD with Kindle Direct Publishing, and have noticed a marginal increase in the daily sales. Curiously though, the sales of NORTH SLOPE and SHADOW OF THE WOLF…

Chapter One
Jettison’s Tough Day
Jettison really had no intention of locking his keys in the trunk of the car, it was just one of those things that just sort of happens. His wife, Dove, didn’t see it that way.
“What were you thinking? Who puts their keys in the trunk in the first place?”
“I didn’t put them there, they fell in. They were in my shirt pocket and when I was shoving the milk…

Dear Readers,
Things have been busy since I last updated you about my books…
First, the next book after The Deliverance Trilogy, GEORGIOS, actually made it through the first round on the Amazon Novel Contest! What a wonderful gift! To have made it from 10,000 entrants to 400 in the Young Adult category was a huge blessing for me. Now I am eager awaiting the April 14th announcement. That round will be based on the excepts we sent in. I am hoping and praying. But in any…

I want to welcome all the new members to The Book Marketing Network.
While you can get some benefit by just setting up a profile here (more traffic to your website, possibly more book sales), you'll get a lot more benefit if you become active here by blogging, sharing videos, sharing photos, joining a forum or two, asking questions, and looking for other authors to do joint promotions with.
In fact, I founded this network for the ideal purpose of getting more book authors…
