They say there are two things certain in life: death and taxes. There’s something else too: when you’re an indie writer, whatever you’ve tried with regard to promotion and marketing, it’s been done before by most of the others, and all with the same results — it inevitably ends up back at the drawing board.
I read a post from an author during the week about her attempts at whatever is ‘flavour of the month’. I found myself reading, nodding…

While most people are familiar with
the principle of ‘sowing and reaping’,
it can be difficult to distinguish
between Fact and Fiction; gleaning
the Truth sometimes takes time, so
that the authentic and the fake can…
be properly separated. Sad jealousies
are found when the evil works of Man
bloom against the stark contrast of
God’s reality; seeing the good and bad,
subtly reinforces our understanding of
the wheat and tares; let us be…

The relationship between Christ
and Yahweh is an eternal dialogue;
a constant communication ensures
His intercession isn’t a backlog
of burdens, borne out of the pain
He suffered and endured at Calvary.
Having been clothed with the dust
of Humanity, He understood beauty
that’s found in our soul’s nature.
After all, we were made to worship
Him openly, freely and easily, with
an unfeigned heart of fellowship.
Made in His image, with…

Your pain and disappointment
should never be a hindrance
from accomplishing the plan
and purpose God has for you.
Isn’t our Life… a sacrament,
meant to be divinely poured
out, to honor our Creator?
As His children, we receive
His instruction and veracity,
as we carry our holy sword
and Hope that keeps us humble.
Discern the contrast to pain
and disappointment; find God’s
Joy, Mercy and His acceptance
without the need… to…

So far, "The Odyssey" (Book One of the Java Gold Series) has received TEN five star reviews ((Eight on Goodreads, two on Amazon) and a number of very flattering reviews. Here's an example
“The Java Gold: Book 1: The Odyssey” by Robert Kingsley was a real treat. As keen reader of history books with a lesser known setting or perspective, this ticked a lot of boxes, and it really did it well. With well researched…

A pretty full week for me one way or another: most of it consumed by tackling PC problems, uploading files and generally scratching my head when I lose my way. My book sales have progressed at a reasonable pace, but nowhere near where I would like them to be (naturally); however, I believe I can see the results of becoming more involved with other authors and giving a few books away.
I have been exchanging emails with Ingram Spark as I…

Hawthorne Hacked, Shakespeare Sacked & Thurber Thwacked is a cleverly-organized book that effectively satirizes some of the main works of Nathaniel Hawthorne, of William Shakespeare and of American humorist James Thurber, and the creative compilation is author Jay Dubya’s 52nd published hardcover/paperback publication.
In the Nathaniel Hawthorne section, Jay Dubya aggressively attacks the early 19th Century writer’s famous short…
