Obliging the Readers

It seems that my email bin is getting thick with questions, so I thought I would answer some of them in this space.

1. Are you really from the Golden Triangle area in S.E. Texas?

Yes.  Born and raised in the Groves area although I have moved around since.

2. Why are you so secretive about your identity?

I don't think of it as being "secretive," but I am a very private person. …

Poem: Passover Lamb

Give praise to the Passover Lamb,

the only begotten Son of the Great I Am.

For He willingly humbled Himself

and served as the propitiation for our sins;

His Truth will be revealed at Earth’s end,

from having laid down His life as our Friend.

Give praise to the Passover Lamb,

the holy begotten Son of the Great I Am.

Our Lord made the ultimate sacrifice,

donating Himself as the…

Coming Soon-From The Writing Team of David Stearman & Hope Flinchbaugh-"Hummingbird"

Hummingbird is the story of Lexa Morales, a misfit. Abandoned as a child, Lexa is Mexican by ethnicity and American at heart, but feels more like the dash between the words that compose the term Mexican-American than anything else. In her struggle to arise from the ghetto of her youth, Lexa commits a crime and flees south of the Border to escape prosecution.…

David L. Hoof To Release "A Death In Munich" This Week!

In late September 1931, Adolf Hitler’s niece and live-in lover Geli Raubal was found dead in his Munich apartment, his gun nearby. A scandal involving incest and murder could have halted Adolf Hitler’s rise to power. Battling a false claim of suicide created by the SS and supported by the Munich police, a secret unit of German patriots led by a Jew, Dieter Fahrlich,…

That wasn't as hard as I thought it would be ...

How often do we say that phrase?

More often that we should ... but then again, maybe some don't say it enough.

For me ... I have learned to tackle every day, not seeing what lies ahead of me as insurmountable, simply just another mound to be crossed.  It's nice like that.  Things are only as hard as I allow them to be.

This morning, I gave out an assignment that drew groans and wailing, almost gnashing of teeth, from my classroom full of adult learners.  By the end of…

Interview info

Well, my second free promotion for INSECTLAND didn’t go hardly how I thought. I only sold a measly 75 copies for the giveaway, which leads me to wonder if the rumors are true about the KDP select free promotions; that mostly book hoarders download the books and not read them. And that the same few hundred book hoarders download whatever becomes available. It would explain the low numbers. The last free promotion for INSECTLAND yielded hundreds and hundreds of downloads. I’ll guess I’ll never…
