Poem: Walk Through The Fire

Unexpected trials experienced in Life,

reveal the paths of Faith in each day;

purification of your soul by holy fire

insures useless stubble is burned away.

When giving yourself completely to Him,

the unholiness of the World can be shed;

consume God’s Word vigorously and often,

so that Biblical ideals fill your head.

Without His Godly wisdom and knowledge,

spiritual battles are normally difficult;

learn from the former lessons of…

Poem: No Escape

There’s no escape,

from my pain, trouble and sorrows;

yet I’m not concerned about them,

for You Lord, await me in tomorrow.

There’s no escape,

for You my Lord, are everywhere,

knowing Your omnipresent trait;

with You, my life, I gladly share.

There’s no escape,

for You have searched the depths

of my being, soul, existence

and my inward, spiritual breadth.

There’s no escape,

for You can see me in the darkness, …

Grace

When I was a child, I assumed that Grace was associated with Christianity. I was taught that Grace was an unearned gift given to all of us by the Creator-of-All, whether we thought we deserve it or not. However, as I grew into adulthood, I came to know that all people, regardless of their religion, history, or spiritual practices, have access to Grace, not just Christians. I came to know that since Grace is order within and beyond form, it is available for all. I remember saying this morning…

Is this Love?

It was winter 1955 and newly fallen snow glistened in the sunlight. As I was about to head home after class with other classmates, I noticed a group of young men coming out of the school building. They looked older and more mature than my classmates and I was curious who these students were. I learned they had come from Bochum, an industrial city in the Ruhrgebiet, and they were staying in the dorm in our school building during winter recess. -  The rest of my story here at…

Kindle Book Promotions

Dear Authors,

It has been a proven fact that authors who promote and continue to promote their Kindle Book Page have an increase in book sales. This makes perfect sense, considering that your Kindle Book Page sits on a site with millions of books and products lost in the mix. Many times an author feels that just because they are on Amazon or have their book as an available download through Kindle, that they will get immediate results. Rarely does that happen.
Here is what…

Survival, If Only Any One of the Five Events Was Different!

The situation was desperate onboard the severely damaged and badly smoking B17F Lonesome Polecat II as it headed out over the Wadden Sea towards England – losing altitude fast. The Polecat had fought a fierce aerial combat battle over Germany and was saved at the last moment when the American P51 escorts found them and drove off the enemy aircraft. Pilot Fred Delbern had ordered a bailout but only the three upfront crewmen had bailed out over Germany; the five crewmen in the rear of the…

Show our Gratitude to God

“Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change (James 1:17 nrs).” We have a lot to be thankful for. God has given us many things like our family and friends, the air we breathe, the food we eat, the gadgets that make our lives easier, all the animals we see, and everything we find in nature. Regardless of who we are, all of this is available for us to enjoy. Most…

Cozy Mystery Series Goes Audio

When reading a book, you picture the characters interacting with one another, but an audio brings everything to life as you listen to the dynamics of the narrator. You hear the anxiety, suspense, comedy, and romance in the person’s voice as you sit and relax in an easy chair or if you’re driving down the road to work. It’s entertainment at its best.

Red Mountain Shadows Publishing presents The Bali Mystery: Amelia Moore Detective Series by Author Linda Weaver Clarke.…

The Pros & Cons of Closed and Open Adoption: What is best for the Child?

There are advantages and disadvantages to both closed and open adoptions, and everyone’s experience will vary as they go through this process. The American Pregnancy Association’s website actually has a very comprehensive list of the pros and cons of each type, and I’ve compiled them in this article. I hope this article is helpful for those who are planning to adopt, or are planning to give up their child for adoption. Let’s take a look at some of the pros and cons of both types of…

How Demon-crats and Repub-Lycans are collaborating to make ShAmerica more TAA-rific by the day

Have you heard? The Democrats and Republicans are finally working together. Oh, they are definitely working together alright…to screw up America!

Both parties refuse to cooperate with the other, and members of each side end up fighting more for the advancement of their respective parties than the needs of America. The never ending campaigning and posturing is getting ridiculous, and it is making cooperation impossible. Both sides refuse to see the evil of their own parties. They…

The Bible and Slavery

Throughout history, the Bible has been used to support particular viewpoints, and slavery was no exception. During the Antebellum period and the Civil War years, the Bible was used as a weapon by both the North and the South. Slave owners would justify the practice of slavery by citing Bible verses like “slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling” (Ephesians 6:5), and “tell slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect” (Titus 2:9). On the…

Not Just a Book

"Imagine yourself sitting underneath a lovely cherry blossom tree. You close your eyes and listen to the sound of the nearby stream. You hear the animals in the woods, and the birds chirping overhead. You are at peace with the world.

The inner peace I felt as I pictured myself in this paradise was the same emotion I felt as I read Peggy Warren’s “Very Much a Woman’s Book”. Read more here http://bit.ly/1QjGENy"

Introduction to Edgar Allan Poe

In addition to being credited as the inventor of the detective fiction story, Edgar Allan Poe was arguably the most important American author of the gothic suspense genre.  He was not just an author, but also a poet, editor, and literary critic, and his life and death, like so many of his works, were shrouded in mystery. - See more at:…
