"Mother's Journals: parts 1, 2 & 3" is my first novel. It covers 3 generations of women in one family. Margery dies, leaving her journals to her only daughter, Mary. Mary learns of the many trials and hardships her mother had endured and secrets that no one spoke of during her lifetime. Mary's neice, Ellen has trials of her own, and torrid love affairs. This book may prompt a few cold showers, and is intended for a mature audience…

My good friend Kaycee Conners did a terrific job coming up with the questions for the interview she posted today in her Wordpress blog, http://pubd2b.wordpress.com/. This one really made me think.

I am new to this website and to the business of publishing. I have spent my career helping other people through coaching and leadership and have decided to pursue my dream of writing a book. My book is currently in the development and writing stage and I anticipate it will be completed and available in early December. The final title is expected to be ready within the next week or so and I will put it on the website as soon as possible.
The book focuses on helping people overcome the…

I loved reviewing this book as Macaulay's drawings are EXQUISITE, and I have often wondered how on earth people centuries past could have created such architectural masterpieces as the mosques that adorn the Istanbul skyline.
Not a dry and dusty architectural text book, but a storyline that breathes life into these old stones ... next time I visit the Blue Mosque I swear I will be able to hear the ghost of the architect giving orders to the chief foreman, as the artisans' hammers and…

It's amazing to me to find that there are so many published, maybe not well-known, authors around. This weekend there were 2 at our local Farmer's Market trying to market their books. I know that the competition is tough, but strategy and hard work at marketing could be the best keys. Get your name out there. Make sure you have a website where people can leave you messages if you need to contact them. And make sure that you give out business cards, post cards, whatever it takes to everyone…

Funny word, blog.
It's not the type of word you'd envision associating with literature or the arts.
Who'd have thunk 20 years ago, everybody would be blogging it.
Blog, as you would note from my post title, reminds me of the Irish word "bog".
A bog, admittedly a rather odd word in the same vein as blog, is a section of wet spongy ground. Ireland has its share of bogs. Bogs are a natural resource that provides Ireland with "peat". Peat sounds like the boys name…

August 4th: Today's special treat is an excerpt from Cheryl Kaye Tardif's new bestseller Whale Song, a novel that will change the way you view life...and death.
So drop by her host site, sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy the prologue and first chapter.
I ONCE FEARED death.
It is said that death begins with the absence of life. And life begins when death is no longer feared. I have stared death in the face and survived. A survivor who has…

Welcome to my page. I am on a mission here.
What are my goals? To network with new writer friends, learn about the book marketing business and get my book into the hands of the world. I believe in it. When you read it, so will you.
It is the story of how one impromptu blog post from my writer's heart, flew across the blogosphere into the lives of people all over the world and how it continues to do so. Stay tuned for The Promise of the Peace…
