"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
God hears your prayers and guides you - even in the worst possible circumstances. Oh, He’s so good! All I want to do is shout! Why? Because He surely is “the Lord that healeth thee.” (Ex. 15:26) and a “rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” (Heb. 11:6)
I must give God the glory for all the wonderful things He has done! For years I had…

Hannah Grace by Sharlene MacLaren (comes out Jan. 09)
Sharlene has done it again, she has written another wonderful book filled with delightful characters.
Hannah Grace thinks she has everything figured out. She will work at Kanes Whatnot store, marry the prominent doctor in town and life will be good. Then walks in Gabriel Devlin, the new sheriff of Sandy Shores and along with him a scared runaway orphan who won't talk to anyone.
Hannah has a soft spot for the…

On the island of Kauai in Hawaii, Old Hanapepe Town is a colony of artists of all kinds. Shop, galleries, and cafes fill every space along the one very long block. Friday is known as Friday Night Artwalk and all the businesses remain open from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
September is our peak hurricane season. When we have no hurricanes threatening, we have rain. Do we ever! It's been raining hard off and on for days. I wasn't sure if the turn out would be great.
The store that…

I read a LOT of writing industry articles, newsletters, e-zines and the like. Right now, they are all saying the same thing...it's all about the blog. Internet marketing is all the rage. It's viral, and if we (authors) don't jump in on it, then we'll miss the boat.
It's tough to say whether or not the boat has already left the dock. There are millions upon millions of blogs out there. One would think our singular voice can't be heard among the cacophony (sp?) of others out there all…

Despite the ongoing financial mess, my wories about my retirement fund, my terror about the state of the country and the world, my mood today is much better than it was at the start of the week. What certanly helped was spending a large part of it with family and friends who've done their best to cheer me up, showering me with affection, buying me celebratory meals, making me laugh. Then, too, the election polls have shifted in "my" favor and I'm elated, as it encourages me to believe that,…

A friend with a vibrant mission ministry in Japan writes:
“The train was hot and crowded. We were a little anxious (and excited) as we headed to Yoyogi Park for a day of evangelism. We noticed a young high school girl take off her headphones and come stand near us as we rode. It wasn’t long before the girls on our team struck up an animated conversation with her (hand gestures and all). It was then that they noticed that there were many scars on her wrist. She said that because of…

Register to vote today! Take your place in history!
People used to justify not being registered to vote by saying "my vote won't make a difference." After the 2000 U.S. Presidential election in which the outcome was decided by about 500 Florida votes, I can't believe anyone would fix their lips to utter that phrase again.
However, if by chance you have not yet registered to vote in the 2008 general election, I have included the registration deadlines here… Continue

The Passion of I and We by Dyan Garris
Here is what I'm seeing as I tune into mass consciousness lately. I see a lot people heart connected to their projects and putting these forth into the world with great passion. The need for sharing and connection comes through loud and clear. It's wonderful!
But what is missing here, if anything? If we examine this energy on an individual level, we see the passion of the root rising up to meet heart (passion) energy. That's…
