This could be my last blog entry for a while. This time next week we will be travelling up to Bilbao to catch the boat back to England. Technically we’ll be homeless until we have handed over the money for our Park Home at Pagham (West Sussex).

It means no Wi-Fi for a while, but like a lot of people of our age (me and Pat), we have travelled thousands of miles over the years without Wi-Fi, mobile phones, tablets, laptops and all that modern paraphernalia. We will still have our mobile…

Harnees Racing ( Poem )

Harness Racing ( Poem )

Horses pull a two wheeled cart

If it breaks you will depart

Place a bet before it starts

Good wager wins if played smart

Riders ready at the gate

Fans no longer have to wait

Athlete sport with high speed

Is a skill you surely need

At times a horse can fall down

Sad to see that come around

Last turn has crowd in a roar

We wait to hear close end score

If your looking to explore

My…

Is the Apocalypse Theme Getting Boring?

1) There are a lot of ways to die – but if you’ve gone to the movies recently you’ve probably seen at least 2,465,399,753.2 of those ways, including ingenious new methods of going through buildings. Not to make fun of death.  Death is real and not something to joke about.  But really, I am about apocalypsed out. The daily headlines are scary enough. I need some good…
