The Lonely Club

When you go on board a lonely club

It’s like going to a biggest buffet

ever held in Singapura

There are hundreds of delicious courses

from all over the world

Please take your plate and choose the delicacies

you so dearly love

Whatever you find repulsive

you don’t have to spit on…

The Working Ghosts

The French bastards had their rig built

in the U.S.

They paid USD over 400 millions

They never said it was expensive

Now they build it

in Asia for only USD 340 millions

And they complain every day that

it is cheaper to have the rig built

in the U.S.A.

The above was the comment from the

Asian local construction manager.

The truth was

there were working…

Passport to Heaven

Passport to Heaven

There isn’t a better way than

marrying a female graduate from Shanghai

and then run your own enterprise there

for the rest of your life

you’ll never have to work for others

Husbands and wife

You can conquer the planets

She’ll only ask for one thing

that you’ll never have another woman

That’s still better

than remaining in Nanyang

cheating your company

by cooking…

Introducing myself

Hi, thank you for letting me join your group. I live in North Yorkshire, UK and in June had my first novel published by the wonderful Guy Boulianne and Editions Dedicaces. Entitled Out of Practice, if you look around this website, you can watch the video of my book signing at Waterstones bookstore. What a morning that was!

Now I'm looking forward to to the publication of my next novel, the second in this series of four.

My life is chaotic but wonderful. I have eleven donkeys,…

Noisy People

It’s the best Chinese restaurant in the city

I had to alight at Mong Kok to patronize it

Every Sunday morning

There’ll be 800 people having breakfasts

all at the same time

This restaurant doesn’t accept credit card

There was no notice saying so

When you have finished eating the meal

suddenly you have no money to pay

They said: OK, you pay the service charge of $60

in addition to the food you had consumed

Some…

Kid's Story

Kid’s Story

They were reeling in front of me

with heads slanting, left hands

shaking under their balls and

right hands with a first finger pointing

at the heads, in revolving motion,

The bodies in wriggling movements

just like the rooster does

Circling the beautiful hen

before jumping on her

No alphabetical letters can coin the words

To reproduce the sounds which must be like

the noises of their male…

I Don't Care

Why should you care which god I supplicate

Are you hoping it is better

I put the wine, fruits and chicken

In front of your house than on the altar?

Why should I?

To tell the truth I don’t worship any

Though I respect many.

Are you jealous?

I have no guilty conscience

Nor have I anything to…

This is what is being said about my recent title: Forty Degrees of Latitude: A Journey of Extremes

The enticing title tells the story of Howard Beck’s journey through Chile from south to north and it is a good read. The author’s writing is sometimes lyrical, often lively and amusing, always informative as he describes the pains (Paines?) and pleasures of travelling alone. The author travels to places most of us will only know from television, magazines and, of course,…

Poem: Generating Thirst in Others

Table salt without pleasing flavor is useless,

like a weak Christian lacking “good works”;

for the World is in need of divine examples

of how to live within the Kingdom’s framework.

There are many souls craving spiritual waters,

to have their endless abyss of thirst quenched.

Are we testifying of God’s Love to reach those

in strongholds- where they’re firmly entrenched?

Unless there are obvious and significant change

in the personal behavior of…

Emotion, emotion!

Being a writer means experiencing dizzying highs and terrifying lows as a novel transforms from mere idea bubbling in the brain into reality on the page. There are times when you believe that everything you’ve written is total crap and there are times when a character reveals something or does something that you hadn’t expected and you find yourself on this emotional high.

Emotions can swing greatly from one day to the next (sometimes hourly). Today is a good day…

A Paper Tiger

We've the timber all over our country

The foreign devils have

the best materials to make the best sails

on this planet.

Why don't we put aside our dear pride

and corporate with these devils

to make the biggest ship on this

lovely earth so that you and I

can sail round the world free of charge?

And pick up many passengers on the way

making plenty of  the green bucks ?

After all, we call them…
