Meeting the Challenge of Perseverance

(ISBN 0816045399)

I finally gave in and told Sandra West that, pending the approval of her agent and the encyclopedia’s publisher, Facts On File, I would accept the challenge of co-authoring the Encyclopedia of the Harlem

. My one major regret was that the deadline for completing the

encyclopedia was the very next summer.…

Marketing research on self-publishing

I'd love to get any personal feedback on true-life experiences from anyone who has been through the self-publishing process. If you can email me with answers to the following, I'd appreciate it.

2. What quantity of books did you print?

3. What genre of book did you print? Fiction or nonfiction? What subgenre: Romance, self-help, mystery, business etc.?

4. Did you get to design the cover of your book, or have any…

Excited to be here

I'm excited to be here and thrilled to be a published author. Our book was just released at the end of September, and we're getting positive feedback from our readers. I'm interested in sharing promotional ideas with people.

We have a publicist and have sent out our first press release. I've had a book signing that went well and an interview coming out in the local newspaper. These are fun times!!

My book on the auction block

I donated 3 copies of my book, SILENCED CRY, to be sold at auction this past week to benefit our public television station, WIPB.
