For the older members in the group , perhaps ?

Being a grandfather is one of the most rewarding pastimes of my life , I tried to pass along my feelings on the matter in my fourth novel, as follows :

The scene is a darkened room containing nanny Angel and her two new grandchildren .

"What is it about grandchildren" she wondered , she had been a grandmother for so short a period yet already she recognised that which all grandparents came to realise . That there is a special bond between themselves and their childrens children…

African American/Latino Conflict and Social Issues

I'm a promotional consultant and a virtual book tour coordinator. I'm currently working with Earl Ofari Hutchinson to coordinate his tour in October to promote his new book.

This is a short summary about the book - The Latino Challenge to Black America: Towards a Conversation Between African-Americans and Hispanics examines the hot button issues and problems that conflict and unite blacks and Latinos. It looks at how both groups see and interpret those issues and problems…

Feel like the heat is on now!

Well I've been telling myself that once school starts I would have time to sit and write another book. My youngest starts preschool and that gives me 2 1/2 hours a day to myself. Not a lot of time, I know, but much more than I had before. So I was all set...until now. School begins in my town tomorrow and instead of being anxious to write, I'm a ball of nerves. Its a mixture of knowing the time has come to start another project and the fact that my 'baby' is off to school. I'm on the edge…

Errors

I have four published books and every book has had errors in them. This was after I read it, read, and reread it. I also recorded each chapter, played it back and went through the book in hope to find errors--which I did but I still missed some. I read each line backwards. Lastly, the insult to injury--two books, I paid $2.00 a page for someone to proofread and edit and I do not have to tell you what happened--errors.

Did I attempt to have the publisher correct the errors? No, because…

Grrr...those pesky typos!

As is my routine, I was creating an entry to my journal. And in my hurry I typed Sept. 3, 2097. When my voice synthesizer read what I wrote, I chuckled. Then I wondered what if that were the real date of my journal entry? No doubt, by then I’d be in the arms of the Lord.

But that notion prompted me to evaluate the legacy I’d leave. Along with my physical genes, I hope my descendants also inherit my longing to receive God’s grace.

And because of His grace, each page of my…

Vampire Trivia!

When traveling in Greece or Macedonia, keep an eye out for the Vrykolaka! These vampires are created with a person either commits suicide or is killed violently, leaving in one case a soul damned for taking his/her own life or a soul confused and insane with rage.

These vampires have a most unique way of killing their prey - they physically smother the victim with their own bodies, pressing the life literally out of them. Survivors of these attacks often describe them with the same…

Fear Not Little Flock & I Am Surviving : POEMS

Fear not, little flock; for it is your Fathers good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Luke 12: 32

I am but one out of 10 thousand,

My plight is under his dearest eyes,

I am of that flock that is wondering aimlessly,

And I am lost

Suddenly, He is there to give me light within my heart and soul,

A light of glory to accompany me along my way,

The Glory of His Light is big enough to shelter his flock,

A covering to shield the weak, and deprived,

I…

Test Driving This Thing

Okay, so I found my way here to the Book Marketing Network via my friend Christine M. who seems to be on the top of stuff like this. She told me about it, I came in, took a gander and liked what I saw. At present, I'm trying to promote the first section of my series in an attempt to get the second section published. I have a book signing (my first) on Oct. 4th and can use all the help I can get. And that's pretty much what has been going on in my life.

New Book

We have just been notified that my second novel will be published soon. We had to change the title, it is now titled "Aubrey's Innocence". I hope everyone will scurry right out and buy it once it hits the shelves. I will share more about it as it gets closer to publication.

Mike Shayne Mystery Magazine Revisited

Decide to reprint a Stodghill Says So blog here:

New Internet provider, new book, that's how it is around here. Not me, though - I'm on the far side of my sell-by date.

Up to now Time-Warner's Roadrunner seems to work just fine and that's a relief after putting up with one problem after another from other programs throughout August.

The new book is a…
