Book Review: Plug Your Book! is a goldmine of treasures.

I consider myself a mega marketer when it comes to promoting my book, and have earned the nickname of Shameless Promoter in my circle of peers and friends. Over the past 4 years I have tried many strategies to increase my internet "exposure". Many of them have been small time. Some didn't work at all.

Steve and I seem to be 'on the same page' when it comes to how important it is to market books online. It's vital. You can reach millions of people if you know how. If you follow Steve's… Continue

5 STARS for Whale Song from Amazon Top 100 Reviewer

"This is an amazing story, and one you'll want to read again and again. Cheryl Kaye Tardif skillfully weaves her tale of friendship, love, loss, pain and forgiveness...and just about the point when you think you have it all figured out, the author throws in a twist, and an ending well worthy of being called a grand finale. A short yet emotional read that may just move you to tears."

Harry Potter Mania

I know that jealousy is a wasted emotion that gets you nowhere in life---but man I am jealous of J.K. Rowling right now!

I don't know about where you live, but in the Detroit area there were numerous parties for the release of the final Harry Potter book and "read-ins" for readers, complete with costume contests and decorations. It's great that kids (and some adults) are actually reading a BOOK these days---but I just don't get it. I could never make it through the first Harry Potter…

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/07/23/DDG3GR3PHE1.DTL

Since the fall of 2005, Google has joined several large West Coast companies such as Microsoft, Starbucks and Yahoo in hosting authors for weekly, sometimes daily, book-selling events that were…

At least some of it was natural

MOVING THE MARKERS

In our world today it seems that not much remains the same and in most cases change is looked upon as a good thing by folks. For the most part I agree, who would want to live in a boring world where there was never any change?

Change however, is not always pleasant, nor welcome, even though sometimes unavoidable.…

Riding the Waves of Change

As I was taking my morning walk yesterday, I noticed

I was walking as though I was on a ship that was listing upon the sea.

I became quite dizzy and at one point, I felt like I might pass out. I

spoke with a couple of my friends who also had similar symptoms. During

my bout of dizziness, I thought about
the significance of what came to me during the

previous day's hike when I noticed the leaves,…

A Feeling of Accomplishment

I feel truly blessed to be a part of a book where the story is so powerful, it brings me to tears each time I read it. I worked my tail off this past week or so finishing up the book, getting it printed and so forth so that it could be shopped in Beijing, China at the international book fair.

And, I have started a new blog which are commonly known as "Hubs" on this site. So, I have been trying…

Rejection #2 for My Book or I Refuse to Give Up!

I've heard unofficially from the second publisher to whom I've sent my book. It's not on the upcoming schedule, so they don't think they're going with it. The Exec. Editor is on vacation, but I'll talk with her when she gets back.

I'm disappointed as I queried this published and they were interested as is a third publisher who'll be next in line.

I know this is the routine - this is my eighth book - and it doesn't get any easier. I've self-published one book previously, but it… Continue

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis has been given many definitions over the years, and many authors have debated whether it even exists. These debates and definitions themselves are evidence of what I consider to be the

most basic and profound form of hypnosis. My definition identifies the

discursive thinking mind (what most of us identify with as our ordinary sense

of self) as an ongoing hypnotic process. From this perspective,…

The Work That Is Ours to Do

Several years ago I began writing Sacred Visitations, not because I wanted to write a book, but because I couldn't hoard the wealth any longer. Profound, life-changing and life-instructing experiences had come my way, and how many others knew about it? A few. I'd learned so much about how to mine these extraordinary moments so…
