For two Christmases I have done what I call the Twelve Days of Christmas book giveaway extravaganza! Well I am trying to get a head start this time so even though it is still a few months away I would like to invite all authors that would like to participate. In his article
Minding The Store, Michael Norris claims Big Box and Specialty stores are more disruptive to book sellers now than the Internet was in the 1990s. He cites research from Simmons Market Research Bureau that 10 millino more consumers buy books in non-bookstore brick & mortar locations than use the Internet to procure their books.

Now this is going to be a daring article, because the title makes it sound as if I actually know what I’m talking about here. Well, I do -- to a point. I have been repeatedly published and at pro rates, and I do have three novels under contract, as well. So, I’m not entirely ignorant on this matter. And the reason I felt this article might have value is that I belong to an organization known as Critters.org, and being a member of it has brought something important to my…

While sitting out in our cool back lawn surrounded by daisies, drinking a freshly minted iced tea and reading about Continental’s mistreatment of passengers, it struck me. I could have been on that plane! Talk about lack of customer care! I will NEVER fly Continental again, or any other airlines that does this to customers. Continental should join up with Congress and the private insurance industry. Perfect fit.
I get more writing done when riding on AMTRAK, anyway. I'm flying out to…

As most of you know, one of the biggest challenges in this business is bringing attention to a book that's been out for a while.

Now, with…

I have created a new website for my books. I would love any comments and hope you can stop by and sign the guest book. By the way, the site is a free one and does not have adds. For any authors looking to create a new site, this host is pretty good. So take a moment and come by and say hello.
