This was the subject line in the email from www.military.com that greeted me this morning when I awoke. As busy as I am, I had to read the article reprinted from the May 15th Stars and Stripes and reported by Drew Brown. Here are the first paragraphs of that story:
JALALABAD, Afghanistan -- Single soldiers and civilians working for the U.S. military in Afghanistan can now have sex legally. Sort of.
A new order signed…

Here's the latest review to appear on the Amazon.com (US) site. I particularly appreciate this lady's words as she appears to be something of a Ripper student who normally doesn't read fictional works on the subject. I read her other reviews of a number of ripper books and four stars appears to be her top rating for any of them

'A Study in Red' has this morning reached the heady heights of #16 in the Amazon.co.uk JTR bestselling listings, it's highest position yet. Yesterday it was at #41, so some serious sales have taken place in the last 24 hours to cause such a meteoric rise up the chart. I never thought my book would ever appear in a Best Seller list of any sort, so I'm more than thrilled with it's performance.
I'm delighted and amazed at such a sudden surge in interest in the novel. I know my…

The following message has appeared on the forums at Casebook.com, one of the world's leading sites dealing with research and information on the Jack the Ripper crimes of 1888. The writer of the message is the subscriptions manager of The Whitechapel Scociety 1888, another prestigious organisation which holds regular meetings in London for the purpose of studying the Ripper crimes and Victorian London's history in general. What a wonderful review!

Wow, 'A Study in Red' just rose to number 21 in the Amazon UK best selling Jack the Ripper book listings. This morning it was at 33, having reached number 27 earlier in the week. This is great although it can just as easily slip down the chart again by tomorrow or even tonight as I believe the listings are updated almost hourly according to sales records.
For now, though, I consider that a great position to have reached against so many very fine books by very illustrious authors. I'm…

Women’s Rights in a Former Hindu Kingdom(Satis Shroff)
The work draws on my own experience and observations during my visits to Kathmandu. Since Nepal is one of those rare places which Nature and culture-enthusiasts would like to visit, I thought the plight of the Nepalese women ought to be told in your website, because till now Nepal is only known for its tough male Gurkha soldiers who fought on the side of the British in the First and…

I'm pleased to say that I've been asked to contribute an article to
'The Journal of The Whitechapel Society 1888'. This is the journal of the prestigious 'Whitechapel Society 1888' that I found myself a member of soon after the release of the novel. I was approached by the editor when I contacted the journal about placing a book ad in their next issue. The article is called "Whodunnit?"..."I Dunno.", and I only wish that some of those here could get the chance to read it. Perhaps once…
