Helpful Editing Tip: Drop The Passive Voice

Hey guys, another helpful editing tip: drop the passive voice. While it's not technically wrong to use the passive voice, it doesn't help make your writing clearer. Whenever possible, use a strong active voice for both clarification and emphasis.

Helpful Editing Tip: Cut, Don't Add

Hey guys, a helpful editing tip: cut, don’t add. You may be tempted to add a word or two while editing your work, but you really should be removing words. Concise writing is more powerful and easier to read than lengthy prose.
