As most of you know, one of the biggest challenges in this business is bringing attention to a book that's been out for a while.
Face it, the media is enamored with
what's new.
Once a new book has garnered it's 15 minutes of fame, it becomes increasingly difficult, if not impossible, to attract that all important media attention. Of course it can be done, and was executed beautifully a few weeks ago by Shel Horowitz - "he who never lets up":-)
Now, with…

They pick the lowest price right?
Wrong!
As an experiment (and a way to get some press:-) I set up a page for the ebook edition of my new book
Stop Living Paycheck to Paycheck - Learn how you can create immediate income now, with 6 different pricing options, ranging from $9.97 down to $2.00. It's a
name your price product.
I copied the idea from the band, Radiohead who also did…

I'm pleased to announce that my publisher in Japan, Discover 21, has just optioned another book from me.
The working title, in English, is "Simple Keys to Creating the Success You Desire" - Practical ideas you can use to achieve the life of your dreams. Of course in Japanese it will be entirely different.
That makes a total of five of my books in Japanese. Strange that I only have two here in the US:-)
Odd business, the book game:-)
BTW, If you're not…

The program
Stop Living Paycheck to Paycheck takes an in-depth look at money and wealth. First, from the psychological aspect, exploring issues such as beliefs about money, money habits, where they come from and the conditioning that drives a person’s money behavior.
Then it explores the specifics like savings, debt…

Our Book Market Ning member, Christina Rowe, is launching her Amazon promotion tomorrow, April 12th.
Let's all hold an intention for her to enjoy a huge success and, if possible, let people in your network know about it.
You can send people here:
www.secretsofdivorce.com/freebonuses.htm
If we help and support each other, we all win.
Go Christine!

A while back, someone here suggested seeing if we could all help each other by adding reviews to our respective books on Amazon or somewhere online. I thought I could get Judi Lake to take on the monkey of figuring out how to do it, but she's smarter than that:-)
It may be way too cumbersome to work, however, this morning, I happened to read the Southern Review of Books newsletter and saw a piece about Amazon investing in a site named "Shelfari"
I went there and spent a…

There are a lot of great people here, some of whom I know and many I hope to get to know better, however, there are two people on this group, who are among the most knowledgeable people around when it comes to book marketing and selling books.
Of course, founder John Kremer is one, and in case you have not had the pleasure of meeting him, Rick Frishman is the other.
I've had the pleasure to meet and get to know them both and even interviewed them for a publishing audio…

Handbook to a Happier Life won an honorary Oscar, last night, for best looking book in a movie. Ok, so I'm kidding about the Oscar but seeing a photo of my book in a movie scene was pretty cool.
I'm still working on finding the time to comment on the movie,
School for Scoundrels, but my first reaction is that if the lead character, Jon Heder applied what I suggested in…
